Dressage at Lexington Va

July 11,12, and 13th 2008

Dorie & Company had a wonderful time in Lexington. Many thanks to all the volunteers and staff at the Virginia horse center for a first class show in an unbeatable setting. Everyone in our small contingent had a successful show as well as a good time.

Dorie won the coveted Prix St. Georges Challenge on Max and was forth in the same class on Rotterdam. Rotterdam also won an I-1 class. Dorie on Robin Luberts 4yr old mare Rissa scored in the 70's in all three Training-4 classes she entered, finishing with two seconds and a first respectively.

Melissa Richards on Daisy performed fantastically scoring in the 60's all three days. On Sunday Melissa and Daisy placed first with a 68 and change in Daisy's first appearance at 4-1.  Melissa and Daisy have moved from Second level in 2007 to their first 4-1 in 2008. Congratulations to Melissa and Daisy for all the hard work and dedication it takes to make such big strides.

Robin Lubert had an equally successful show on her new horse Nice Catch "Slammer". Robin and Slammer showed 4-1, improving all three days with scores in the sixties.  On Sunday Robin and Slammer finished forth with a 65+ score. Congratulations to Robin and Slammer improving the new bond between horse and rider.
